Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located? - 158 Wellington Street

Will I get a private room? – All resident rooms at RR are private rooms.

Can couples live together? -  RR will do their best to accommodate the request to have adjoining rooms, however there are no double rooms in the facility.

What furniture is provided in each room? – Each resident room at RR is furnished with a single bed, mattress, and coverings, pillow and pillow case, bed side table, lamp, dresser, chair, waste basket, mirror

Are there items I am not allowed to bring? – Residents are not permitted to have any appliance with an element in their rooms (i.e coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc.). Also, anything with an open flame is not permitted.

Are pets allowed? – RR welcomes temporary visits from pets with permission from the operator.

What is your smoking policy? – Smoking is not permitted in or around RR within 9 meters of an entrance, however, there is a designated smoking area on the grounds of the facility.

How many residents does your home accommodate? – There are 20 single private rooms at RR.  

What is the meal service like? – Each day there are 3 meals served along with 2 snacks in the afternoon and evening. Meal are at the approximate times of: 8am, 12pm, and 5pm

Are families welcome to visit? – Residents families and friends are always welcome and encouraged to visit.

Are there specific visiting hours? – There are no designated visiting hours at RR, however we ask that the public respect all residents and their visiting wishes.

Am I allowed to give gifts to RR employees? – RR kindly asks that the public and residents do not give gifts of significant monetary value to employees and vise versa. Small gifts, however, of insignificant monetary value are permitted, but should be shared by all staff on shift.

Is RR licensed? – RR is licensed by the Province of New Brunswick.  Social Development ensures the adherence to standards and procedures of all adult residential facilities within the province. Annual inspection are conducted by Social Development.

How do I bring my medications? – Upon admission, residents should bring with them all of their regular and as needed medications to be placed in the locked medication room and administered by staff only.

How does RR handle resident’s personal information? – RR staff are under an oath of confidentiality through Social Development and RR and will protect all residents and facility information.

Are there social activities at RR? – RR will do their best to assist in providing social activities to RR residents within the home as well as community activities.

How big are the rooms? – The rooms at RR are all approximately 125 square feet. We are please to provide our residents with private rooms that are 25% larger than the standard size set by Social Development.
